e've always said, if you're looking for a guide that just walked out of the fly shop with all the latest, greatest clothes and gear, spouting scientific names for the different bugs and hatches, then these guys aren't it. If you're looking for guides that are great teachers, relentless fish hunters and people you're proud to call your friend at the end of the day, then you've found them. We've also known that each and every one of these guys have the ability to make a much better living working a 9-5 job but their hearts are here with the rivers and fish of southwestern Montana. There's no place they would rather be and they all look forward to sharing our little piece of fly-fishing heaven with you! Let's meet some of our guides...

Cody was born and raised in southwestern Montana and has really never left. Your operator and manager of Crane Meadow Lodge for almost ten years now, he began guiding these waters as soon as he turned 18. Starting with the lodge when it opened in '92, Crane Meadow has been his home ever since and he enjoys sharing this part of Montana with all the lodge guests, old friends and new. |

Garey's a longtime Crane Meadow guide who never tires and just wants to catch fish, the more the better! He is also a major contributor to the fly shop bins. If he's not guiding he will fish until the ice makes him stay home and tie flies. Garey and his wife Sue usually spend part of the winter in Argentina as he just can't get enough fishing. |

Dave was born and raised a true outdoorsman and spends the majority of his time either guiding or in the field. He'll take you to the fish and isn't afraid to spend days going where nobody else will if the fishing is right. When not on the river you'll generally find him in full camo with his bow, or lab Drake in tow. |

Tom came to Dillon for college from the mid-west and found his true home right here in Southwestern Montana where he has guided fishermen ever since. Whether it's your first day with a fly rod or you are a longtime angler, a day with Tommy is well spent. He's a great teacher that will keep a smile on your face the whole day and his knowledge of the geology in our area is an added bonus. Just be sure to call ahead if you want to fish during turkey season! |

Tyler is one of those roaming anglers who loves fish, wherever, whenever and he's traveled a lot to find them. A longtime Crane Meadow guide, Tyler makes each day enjoyable as he's a great teacher always in search of the next big pod of fish. He's also a man of many hats as he has spent the winter of '07 and '08 building his own home just outside of Dillon. He keeps everyone smiling with his tales of fishing, hunting and now the construction business. |

A lifelong resident of southwestern Montana, Jerry spends most of his time on the family ranch. Also a founding member of Tuesday Night Fish League (you'll have to ask him), he never misses an opportunity to fish. Every once in a while we're able to get the rod out of his hands and put him to work guiding at the lodge. A soft-spoken guide with an excellent ability to explain and teach, our guests always find fish with Jerry and not just on Tuesdays! |
